Observations of Vicoa pentanema in Qatar reveal that it can be found in various areas, including roadsides and farms. The plant was spotted on the roadside of a road to Zubara in Al Magdah farms area, north-western Qatar, with soft hairy flowers visible in February 2014. Backlit flowers were also observed, showcasing their delicate features. Additionally, the plant was found in Ras Laffan farms in Northern Qatar, and in a silty depression near a road to Zubara, area of Al Magdah farms, in February 2016. The local name for the plant is "zameem al barr", and it appears to thrive in different environments, including roadsides and depressions. The observations suggest that Vicoa pentanema is widespread in Qatar, with sightings recorded over several years.
