The Plantago boissieri was observed growing in various locations in Qatar, including Uwaynat Bin Husayn near Simaisma, where its fruits were seen on February 28, 2015, and the plant itself was spotted on March 6, 2015. It was also found on a roadside of Rawdat Rashed Road in Umm Al Zubar West on December 11, 2015, and along Dukhan Highway near Al Shakhaniya on January 15, 2016. Additionally, the plant was observed growing on windblown sand on a roadside in Jebel Al-Nakhsh area on March 25, 2016, and in Maszhabiya Reserve near Abu Samra on April 1, 2016, where it was seen on a gravel plain and with a rosette of leaves. The plant's ability to grow in different environments is notable, including shallow depressions and gravel plains. Its presence was recorded in southern and southwestern Qatar.
