Helianthemum ledifolium is a small shrub with narrow leaves and yellow flowers. In Qatar, it has been found to grow in limestone and sandy areas, often in association with other desert plants. It is relatively rare in the country but can be spotted in certain protected areas.
Small plants of Helianthemum ledifolium were observed in the area of Ras Laffan farms in north-eastern Qatar on February 19, 2016. They were found growing among grass and were small in size. Some plants were extracted from the grass for closer observation, and their appearance was documented against a white background. The plants were also observed to be blooming, with flowers visible among the grass. The sunrose flowers were seen scattered among the grass, indicating that the plant was thriving in the area. Overall, the observations suggest that Helianthemum ledifolium is a small, flowering plant that grows well in the Ras Laffan farms area of Qatar. The blooming flowers and small plants indicate a healthy population of the species in this region.
